On Asus site it says:
"BOOST THE CONNECTION SPEEDS AND MAXIMIZE THE HARDWARE: Tuxera solutions bring enhanced performance with significantly reduced CPU so more applications can run at the same time. With special optimization for network storages you can quickly access and transfer your data"

I clicked on learn more but i didnt understand what exactly is doin.Anyone knows?

Tuxera also develops a specially optimized version of Samba, to improve SMB sharing even further. However Asus only recently started enabling it on some models, as this was still a work-in-progress by Tuxera. No idea how much improvement that brings however, the last time I tested it was with an early beta, and back then it actually decreased performance for me instead of improving it.

one more questions
why Asus decreases samba versions ?
In first relases of fw samba was newer than in latest
Code:
admin@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# smbd -V
Version 3.0.25b.2 (Optimized by Tuxera Inc)
and we also see that tis is special version from tuxera
In fw 9529 samba is older
Code:
VANT@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root# smbd -V
Version 3.0.25b
VANT@RT-AC87U:/tmp/home/root#

Where is the logic ?

Maybe it deliberate play Asus to increase the advantage of the new model?

Could have been bugs found on the tip, so pulling back was probably prudent...

It's not older, it's different. They're both 3.0.25b. One is a special build developed by Tuxera, the other is fully open source. That ".2" was simply added by Tuxera for internal versionning.
