RT-AX58U - increase in speed even for AC-only client

Newest MBPs are definitely not AX. Are there really any mainstream brand laptops being sold with AX wifi? Just last month I bought my wife a loaded 2020 XPS13, and AX was not an option.

Many "nicer" Windows based PCs have 802.11ax cards now. Certainly my Thinkpad does, and I see several options on Best Buy's web site. But not yet as common as 802.11ac.
