The RT-AX58U is giving you all it can with the limited resources it has (namely, no AES support).
So to be very clear, you mean the VPN speed will be capped at ~45 Mbps, no matter what my provisioned ISP throughput is, correct ?
And for VPN speeds specifically - aside from AES support, which metric is to be looked for? Processor clock (edit: realize OpenVPN is single-threaded, so number of cores don't count) ?
Edit: Additional question: What is the chance of having Wireguard support in Merlin's Firmware ?
