Hello, stumbled upon this thread and my AX86U was having the exact same issues as described here and in multiple thread:
I have no backup settings of the router unfortunately. I hear that @ColinTaylor may be able to help? What do I need to do to help restore this router?
- Could not login with my usual credentials
- Reset to default and tried to use it as a mesh node (I bought a new AX86U Pro) but it couldn't join.
- Tried in AP mode, Wifi not working with country code error.
Also it seems to be a widespread issues and pretty concern it will also affect my new AX86U Pro. Other that , I have disabled G
the update to prevent this issue has been released for the pro for a while now. if you installed it you'll be ok.
as for the AX86U it got the update a lot later (two days ago). it seems to be one of the most affected models. i hope Mr., Colin can help you, but from what i understand of you don't have a back up you have a better chance by contacting asus support.
