I don't remember having any major problems with Realtek. They have been making reliable component chips for decades. I do recall problems a few times in the past with Intel non-CPU chips... mostly driver related. I wouldn't worry about having BCM, Intel or Realtek NICs though. The AX86U is about a year old and I'm sure Asus has worked out sourcing quality components for it despite the high demand for the router and the on going chip shortages. Hang in there. You'll be good.
