I don't remember having any major problems with Realtek. They have been making reliable component chips for decades. I do recall problems a few times in the past with Intel non-CPU chips... mostly driver related. I wouldn't worry about having BCM, Intel or Realtek NICs though. The AX86U is about a year old and I'm sure Asus has worked out sourcing quality components for it despite the high demand for the router and the on going chip shortages. Hang in there.
