RT-AX86U Pro & USB mode

Compared to the non-Pro, the RT-AX86U Pro has changed to offer one USB3 and one USB2 port. This brings up a question about the USB Mode setting.

How does this affect the operation of the router, the USB2 port,* and how does it affect the potential for 2.4GHz WiFi problems we have seen? The USB2 port won't/can't work as a USB3 port in any case, I presume.

The USB 2.0 port stays always as USB 2.0 for obvious reasons. This "USB 3.0" on your screenshot is just the device name of what's plugged there.
