Thanks.
Managed to update through 'Check for update' on router settings.
Not yet available online as a file download

Updated both router AX88U Pro to 33338 and node AX86U Pro to this 34334... both releases appear to be noted similarly and rushed out together (why I decided to try them at once)... I could not get the router webUI AiMesh page to populate (maybe same webUI display issue fixed here?), among other weirdness, so I'll pass on these releases... they feel rushed out by the webUI and are still not listed on their website.

Some of the Asus pages have been updated with direct manual file download link for 3.0.0.6.102_34334.

However, as of this post, the following link still show the older 10/16 3.0.0.6.102_34319 firmware. Use the the above links if needed.

Just a general complaint about the Guest Network Pro. It really doesn't operate as one (at least me) would think or expect in some cases. Take for example the default IoT option selection. You would think (at least I do) that setting up IoT network would isolate the guest network IoT from the main LAN (no intranet access), but it doesn't happen when the Guest Network Pro Use same subnet as main network option is enabled. The user has to disable that setting to get the IoT to be isolated from the main LAN.

This creates a second issue if one wants to manually set IP addresses for their Guest Network Pro clients. When the Use same subnet as main network is disabled it obviously doesn't pull an IP address from the main LAN address pool (including any main LAN manual IP reservations). There doesn't appear (at first/second glance) to be a way to manually set IP reservations on Guest Network Pro clients when not using the same subnet as main network. So it appears to be a stupid trade off. If you want manual reservations you apparently cannot block intranet access, if you want to block intranet access then disable the Use same subnet as main network option for the Guest Network Pro group and you cannot set manual IP reservations for that Guest Network Pro group.

Even using the Customized Network didn't work as expected when setting Intranet access to disable and Use same subnet as main network to enable. Could still access the intranet. Had to disable Use same subnet as main network to truly disable intranet access when setting up a Customized Network.

Frustrating.

PS: Another observation. When Use same subnet as main network is disabled, one apparently cannot assign internal LAN network DNS servers like Pi-Hole to the Guest Network Pro group Advanced Settings > DNS Server > Assign section. The ugly workaround is to set the router's WAN DNS server(s) to the Pi-Hole's (which may or may not cause other possible issues depending on settings), then set the Guest Network Pro group's DNS server to Default. That seems to work at getting Guest Network Pro clients that are intranet isolated to use the main LAN Pi-Hole servers. The downside is that by using the router's WAN DNS servers any DNS requests logged by the Pi-Hole will show up as the router name and not the individual Guest Network Pro client name. Another frustrating trade off.
