Hello,

So I've got a RT-AX88U Pro. It's working great.
I wanted to check the configuration using my desktpop computer. It's connected through Ethernet. I was asked to enter the Asus account and the Asus password. I typed my WiFi logins, didn't work. So I picked up my MacBook, and I was able to log in no problem.
Question : there are two logins with this router ? One when using the LAN connection, and a different one when using the WiFi ? If so, I can't remember my LAN password. How can I reset it when I'm connected using the WiFi ? And where is this configuration ?

Thanx a lot for your help :)

Some general information from Asus Support (some information may be dated or very general) on how to access the the router GUI, and what to do when you forget the router's GUI username and password:
Note: Doing a reset will result in the router being reset back to default settings.

When a standard reset using the reset pin/button on the router doesn't work one may have to do a "hard factory reset".

The router, normally, has a GUI login (username/password) used to access the router's configuration and administration interface (GUI). Depending on how you have configured the router you likely will have additional passwords; for WiFi access, and for other services like; WPS (Pin code), VPN, FTP, SMB, etc. It is strongly recommended one does not use the same password for router GUI access, for WiFi access. Use unique passwords for each. Normally one is asked to set the router GUI username and password when they intially setup the router using the Quick Internet Setup (QIS) setup.

Yes, there are two logins to your RT-AX88U. The login to connect to the Wi-Fi is what you setup when you commissioned the router. This can be returned to the default values via a router reset. Also when you commissioned your router, you set a user name (usually admin) and password to access the router graphical user interface (GUI).

If you are connected to the router via Ethernet and a Windows machine, the network credentials are the same as you use to access the GUI.

I see a familiar name, another refugee from NG. I recently replaced my NG router with a RT-AX88U Pro. 😊
