Hello,
I have a Asus RT-AX88U router. I recently upgraded the firmware to the latest version - 3.0.0.6.102_33320 (3.0.0.6.102_33320-g3899443_345-gf3514) and it seems that the name resolution for home network machines is not working. It seems that the setting "Forward local domain queries to upstream DNS" in WAN section is missing. (Reference - https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1045253/#Method1). I have set domain name for the router (say nkdev.home) and name resolution for workstations, servers in the internal network is not working. The ping to a server on the network with FQDN (ping serv1.nkdev.home) returns couldn't find host on the network. Prior to the update the ping used to resolve the name and return correctly.
Any insights? Has anyone seen this too? Any pointers will be helpful ..
Thank you
