New Around Here
I apologise firstly if this is the wrong place to ask this or it has been asked before, I did try to have a look but couldn't find anything.
I have just upgraded from a very old router to the RT-AX88U and am trying to get my home network up and running. I would definitely say I'm an amateur when it comes to doing this but managed it before on my old router.
I have accessed the routers homepage and under LAN > DHCP Server set enable manual assignment to yes. When I am assigning static IP addresses to certain devices (my NAS box for example). It shows in the list as the IP address I want but when I go back to the Network Map it is still showing the old IP address. I have powered off and on all devices, modem, router, nas, computers and it seems to have no effect.
The other issue I am having is that some devices I have given static IP addresses are showing up with automatic addresses in the Network Map and not the ones I've assigned, where as others that I have not given static IP addresses are showing in the Network Map with static IP addresses.
I never had this problem before and really am not sure where I am going wrong.
Thank you in advance. I am just about to head out for a few hours but if anyone can offer assistance, I will try sort it when I get back.
