Just to start with...this problem doesn't exit using a TP-Link router. This is not a tablet Fire tablet configuration issue

I do a lot of home automation. I have 7 Fire tablets around the house to control and monitor things. When using my ASUS router communications between my automation hub and them stops after "some" period of time. Communications between every tablet and the Internet still works. They all still update via the SharpTools cloud etc. My only guess is this is tied to AI protection even though I have every bit of it turned off. I've wiped it. configured it without the Internet connected and been very careful not to enabled any of the "protection" features other than the firewall.

They work fine until they don't. The tablets don't always start failing at the same time. This is a daily. almost an hourly, kind of thing. A router reboot clears this.

When they do fail...I can no longer ping them from my desktop...but can from the router. I currently DO NOT have a second one running in a mesh. It is standalone.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I have run both the current OS on the router and the "Merlin" version.

Might want to supply more info about the clients. Are they all on main 2.4GHz, guest wireless, ethernet lan on the router, etc.?

If you've enabled AiProtection in the past, but have since disabled it. Make sure to go to the Privacy page in the Administration section and select "Withdraw" if it is listed. That should fully remove one from AiProtection and the rest of the TrendMicro stuff.

You should also post more information.
What specific firmware is it running?
Are you using AiMesh (if so what are the node router models and are the problematic devices connecting to those nodes)?
Make sure to use a WiFi channel the Fire tablet supports. Ran into all sorts of WiFi 5Ghz problems with a Fire tablet due to it only supporting certain channels (36 to 48, and 149 to 165). Required reconfiguring the Wireless settings.
If using Windows PC's make sure to configure them for Private Network not Public Network. When configured for Public Network, File/Print sharing is turned off.
If using any sort of firewall or security program on the computer double check that the program isn't blocking access to local network devices.
How are the wireless clients connected?
Are you using any sort of Guest Network?
Post your WiFi settings so others can review to see if there are any issues or make suggestions.

I am NOT the only one with this issue. Not only other Hubitat users...but users in general. I just have never Googled and found an answer. I don't think this is on the client end since it works seamlessly with TP-Link router.

What specific firmware is it running? 3004.388.8_2-gnuton1 was running whatever the latest from ASUS...same behavior.
Are you using AiMesh (if so what are the node router models and are the problematic devices connecting to those nodes)? No...not anymore while troubleshooting (complete factory restore)

Required reconfiguring the Wireless settings. They are all on 2.4...but as I said...they on work on a cheap TP-Link router

If using any sort of firewall or security program on the computer double check that the program isn't blocking access to local network devices. When they are responding I can ping them from my desktop
How are the wireless clients connected? Not quite sure what you are looking for here but 2.4 seem upload below
Are you using any sort of Guest Network? no
