RT-N66U - High CPU load when https enabled

zerox

New Around Here
Hi,

every time I enable https access the httpd daemon starts consuming almost 100% of the cpu. As soon as I go back to http it is back to normal 0.1-1%. I am using the latest firmware (380.57_0).
Google finds only similar ddwrt posts where the solution is to upgrade the firmware.
Anyone else with the same problems and an idea how to fix it?

I'm having the same issue with latest Merlin firmware (380.59) on my RT-AC66U. HTTPS is ramping the httpd daemon near 100% usage and this kill the router. I have to go back to HTTP and then the httpd daemon is back to less than <1% usage.
