I was copying 4.500 files (jpg on various directories) from my win7 notebook to an USB3 500gb HD NTFS formatted attached to RT-N66U (latest firmware 374.40) and more or less when at 50% of the work router reebooted. I've tried again but rebooted again...:(. Using FTP no problem at all, work finished.

Out of memory? No log available unfortunately. Any suggestion?

Thanks.

I had a very similar issue before before where large transfers across the LAN caused the router to lock up and I had to reboot it. It was completely random, but about half the time it would lock up.

Turned out to be a faulty NIC on one of my machines. I forget the term for it, but it was faulting and causing a broadcast storm (again, not sure if the right term). Replacing it immediately fixed the issue.

Router rebooted both using wifi and wired connection. I think that is quite impossibile that both were fault...

Hello SmallNetBuilder community, i am a new here.

I have the same issue with transfer files by SAMBA share folders.
After half size of big file transfered router starts rebooting.

Now i have 374.40 FW
Could you say in lastest FW 374.41 Beta this issue is fixed or no?
