RT-N66U ver b1 micro sd card slot still inside?

If so...

Which cards should work ( size, speed )?

Are there any brands with a good reputation?

Will a good sd card be faster than some usb sticks?

Could i use a multi slot cardreader on usb instead?

Thanks.

The newest manufactured batches no longer have the card reader soldered to the pcboard.

So I opened up the package.

And to my surprise the micro sd socket was there.

So I might consider using it in the near future.

It says Version 3.20 on the pcb.

Any suggestions which micro sd card to use?

From my reading sdhc class 10 with 32 gb size should work?

Will 64 gb cards also work or should I stay with 32 gb?

Thanks.

32gb should work, 64gb try, but i think that also should work.

Can the sd card slot act as additional storage on the router? or improve the router performance? I have one myself that i need to open tonight to fix the power button issue.

Thanks

"Can the sd card slot act as additional storage on the router?"

Yes.

"improve the router performance?"

You can use it for new features such as scripts for various extra functions.
