Hi Folks and Asuswrt-Merlin ,
As subject, my internet connection using the HSPA 3G/3.5G modem instead of using the cable modem, which made this hassle very rare and hard to tackle in normal situation. I browsed the websites even google all of related items but can't find the same one. :confused:Try to solve the issue by using the latest FW 3.0.0.4.374.4561 from ASUS but the hassle still remains without being improved. (I used the Windows 7/Windows 8 64bit Eng version NBs to try it but failed, not the Windows issue). RT-AC68U supports Huawei E372 from the setup menu and I ran it to connect the website site without any issue. What the weird thing is after several minutes or longer time the USB shows disconnected then my packet lost. It's quite unstable. I tried the RMerlin's latest FM 3004_374.39 got some improvement and the wifi connection last longer but finally failed again. I even tried the 3004_374.40 beta 3, it got much better signal connection time than ever before but still failed. (It took me one week to fine-tune different parameters and setup).
Finally, I gave up and wrote a formal letter to ASUS tech service TWN
for help but still not get any substantial feedback yet. Herewith is the system log for ref (truncated)::(

Hello, Edward

I have Rt-AC68U as well and I was having random disconnect with my ISP, only difference I am using PPPOE connection. After doing some research I gave a try RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_374.40_alpha4.zip from merlin and so far no disconnect and random restart.

I would try this version and see if it helps in your case. Just for reference I was experiencing disconnect at least once a day and know it has been two days and no disconnect.

thanks for the suggestion

Hi Hawk,
Much appreciated for your precious suggestion and I will try it when I get free.
Also keep it informed of fresh development.:)

Hi Hawk and other dudes,
Just try the FWRT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_374.40_alpha4 but still got disconnected after let the computer remains on the same website without any action.
However, Hawk , really thanks for your response.

Sorry, to hear that. It may compatibility issue between 3G Stick and router.

Dudes,

Just browsing the Asus website know there is a new FW 3.0.0.4.374.4887 released, No idea will this one can cure the " unstable disconnection in 3.5G stick" or not but I don't have other choice but to do so. Hope it works!!
