running ssh processes with sites like github times out when connected to a network through Asus AC68U

hello. I've tried running ssh processes with github for cloning and pulling and I seem to have issues with it timing out when connected to a network through my Asus AC68U. If I tether to my cell phone, it gets resolved but was hoping there's something trivial to toggle to fix this. Thanks.

If you append the "-vvv" flag to ssh command, what is the output?

it looks about the same and I'm stuck at `Receiving objects: 11% (41/372)`

That sounds like something is wrong with your ISP. One way to verify this is to bypass the ASUS router and see if the problem persists.
