I have RT-AX86U Pro. I want features from existing Merlin firmware, but also VLAN support from newer ASUS firmware releases that don't have Merlin versions. Supposedly, there is a SSH script on how to use existing Merlin firmware to create VLAN's, but I can't find it. I can only find a guide that describes on how to create VLAN's without scripts, but that is not going to provide me with needed configuration.

Can someone link me to a script for VLAN creation? Does ASUS Merlin firmware GUI recognize SSH-created VLAN's? I need:
1. Each Ethernet port to use a separate VLAN
2. Each VLAN must be assigned a separate OpenVPN/WireGuard VPN tunnel

I'd also like for each bridge interface to have its own custom MAC address. Normally, all VLAN bridge interfaces use the same MAC address, but I want each bridge interface to have its own MAC address assigned by me. On UniFi Dream Machine it can be accomplished by simply bringing interface down with IFCONFIG and bringing it up with new MAC address.

Do you really need a vlan or would an isolated subnet for each port work? I used scripts to isolate one of my ports to a new virtual bridge its own subnet with dhcp, firewall protections, and one-way access from the main lan just like a guest wlan.
