secure internet access via VPN not working

I was on the ASUS stock software and after upgrading to the latest version I could no longer surf the Web thru the VPN server (I could connect fine and access everything on the home network, I just could not go out onto the Internet). Instead of reverting to the previous version I decided to try Merlin - and I have the same problem with the PPTP server.

Am I missing something?

I had the same problem whenever I had PPTP and OpenVPN on at the same time. After disabling both OpenVPN servers, PPTP started to work properly.
