New Around Here
As one knows, service after the sale is important with any purchase that involves a warranty. I have been around the block with Asus, Netgear and now TP-Link. With Netgear it's a horror show past the 1st 90 days, Asus customer service is now at a low point and they don't even try to provide customer satisfaction and support.
For the 1st time I have had to use tp-link support for a hardware related issue. It was seamless, a very positive experience and an RMA issued within 2 days. Keep this in mind on your next purchase and who you give your $$$ to. If you have to fight for warranty service, F$&kem.

If I was TP-Link and the US government was considering banning the sale of TP-Link products in the US market, I would start a social media PR campaign online to bolster public opinion of TP-Link.

Interesting thing about PR: TikTok started having TV ads here in Canada, as of a few weeks ago.

And their PR army is dropping the F-bomb in the same breath... very not classy, TP-Link.

Seems like you guys still run ads... the new uBlock Origin Lite here and I see no PR campaigns. 😎

By the way, UniFi Express at $109 Holiday Offer price. Works as Gateway or wired/wireless Access Point. Designed in the US. :)

Not everything is a plot. I myself was surprised how well TP-Link handled a warranty issue. Maybe they are upping their game due to bad press. But that does not forgive the horrid service from Asus, even for a fanboy forum. Same for Netgear. TP-Link surprised me and I didn't know what to expect. Credit is where credit is due. As far as security issues, with a boarder that allowed in 30K plus Chinese soldiers, and a spy balloon Joe let do figure 8's over sensitive areas, fhe least concern for me is my router.

I personally never used any warranty on any 24/7 availability product for home use simply because it has to be replaced right away when it stops working. If you have no temporary replacement the warranty is kind of useless. No one is going to wait for few weeks for the product to come back. The recent malware damaging routers was a proof - many folks just replaced the devices on the next day. With widely used work from home practice these days few hundred dollars for a replacement device may be a less of a damage compared to days off-line.

Tp-link has a warranty process that they ship replacement 1st, and you have 24 days to return yours with a provided shipping label. And the simple solution would be keep your past generation router as a back up if you need to be up 24/7, or purchase a low end back up to have on tap.

What about dropping this type of conversation and...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎅
