While setting up my Google gmail login/pass information in Alert Preference I got the following message from google "Sign-in attempt prevented", it seems It did not go through, as a matter of fact I've never received an alert, am I doing something wrong?

I just disabled Google security for Apps, is there a way to test is working fine? thanks

set aiprotection to block adult site and try to open adult site, then You will see ;)

This feature (AIProtection) is great.

Personally, I'm not getting an email alert. I've set it on Google and added an email account as well as entered it's password. Strangely, according to the log, messages are sent. I'm not getting it as SPAM even.

Edit: Tried 3 different Gmail accounts.

Edit - 2: Tried an AOL account. Still won't work. Log still says message sent.

Is it the password for the Google account or the router it's asking for?

I had to log into my Google account and generate an App Password for the "App" (the router). Then use that password as the email password field on the router.

In my case, Google said my account can't be used with App passwords.
I had the same problem. I don't use the AIProtection stuff anymore, so its been a while and I'm going off memory here. I believe I had to go to the Security settings for my Google Acct, and "Allow low security apps" or "Allow Unsecure Apps" or something like that. Then I was able to generate App Passwords.

for email password

I was thinking about setting this up the other day and when I got to the spot where it was asking for my email address and password that popped up a red flag in my opinion. Why in the world does Aiprotection need my email password to send me an email?!?!? Am I missing something here???

router use your email account to send email to you

It is no good that use my email account... Better will be we can configure other email example for network devices and define for what person(email) should send email.

i create one email account only for router and make forvarding to my main email.
