So I was on FS.com looking for a replacement for this: https://www.trendnet.com/products/10g-pcie-card/10-gigabit-pcie-network-adapter-TEG-10GECTX-v3 (The Trendnet card mentioned here runs off a Aqauntia chip. I think my computer is allergic to the brand and it most certainly didn't like the drivers Trendnet listed, BSODing until I removed the card entirely.) I replaced that with one of these: https://plugable.com/products/usbc-e2500 This adapter uses a Realtek chip that hasn't BSOD'd once.) My computer is capable of 5 Gigs, but I'm crusing at 2.3 now. I want to push it to the limit. (Got An ASUS AXE16000 router and QNAP QSW-M408-4C switch.)

What do people think of this: https://www.fs.com/products/135977.html?attribute=67772&id=1709874 (I picked this version because I wanted the Ethernet ports vs SFP+)

Does a card like this support 2,5, 10G speeds? (Edit: I found the specs 100/1G/10G) 2-5, really don't get much love, do they?

TP-Link TX401 Chipset: AQC107. This works good. It has been proved for many years. This works good with Marvell original firmware and driver.
TEG-10GECTX Chipset: Marvell Alaska 88X3310P. Many users are having a horrible issue like BSOD.
ASUS 1XG-C100C: This garbage doesn't work with Marvell original firmware and driver. Unstable.

I have an X550-T2. bought it on a local second hand site. It was Silicom branded so the owner sold it for a low price not being to prove it was genuine. I use it as WAN/LAN card in my pfSense router. Works like a charm. installation was uneventful and never looked back. The advantage of buying an Intel-based NIC.

I wanted to get the ASUS 1XG-C100C because I'm trying to stick to Asus much as possible my decision anyway why should I care about Marvell tell me the pros about this
