Hey Guys,

Hopefully you can help a brother out. My office PC is not transferring at gigabit speeds although it is showing as connected at 1gbps. Everything on my wired network is gigabit, and everything transfers at expected speeds except the office PC (copying From or to, it maxes at 11 MB/s). The office computer specs are: ASRock P67 Extreme4, Core i5 2500k, HD's are 7200rpm, NIC is Realtek (driver 7.44.421.2011). I have updated all drivers for LAN and router (D-Link DIR-655). Here is how the network is laid out.

Connected to DIR-655: Office PC, D-Link 2208 Gigabit switch
Connected to Switch: HTPC, HP EX490 WHS

I suspect the culprit is the DIR-655 since the office-PC is isolated on the router, but it has gigabit ports. I have disable QoS for testing, but it did not make any difference. Transfers between the Server and HTPC/HTPC to Server average around 70MB/s, its just the office PC never passes 11. Its driving me bonkers. Any thoughts? I tried search, but did not have much luck. Thanks.

PS (Connecting the office PC to switch is not possible as they are in different floors and rooms).

Never mind fellas. Maybe if I would have tried a different Ethernet cable first, I could have saved myself a ton of headaches. Swapped out the cable and boom, 70MB/s.
