Hello,
have Synology DS216play and router ASUS RT-N66U, all with latest firmware
Need to setup port forwarding but it doesn't work for me. Tried add port to router but it's still closed. I think it's something with firewall in Synology or ASUS.
Need it ASAP.
I will give you teamviewer ID and password, so you will configure it via teamviewer in my computer.

Price: $10 via paypal
write here if you want to help me.

Just let us know what you want to configure and keep the $ or donate it an organisation like Doctors without Borders.
We'll take you through the steps.

Just small update:
needed setup DSM and transmission ports (forwarding).
It works now but I found ASUS admin interface is too slow. I reboot a router, it works fine but after some minutes its slow again.

Copying files via LAN works very slow too. I think it's something about asus settins

Need someone who can check my asus via teamviewer.

It's very hard to configure the router to be 'slow'. You might want to check your network setup. Or just do a reset to factory defaults on the router and set it up from scratch.

Here is a link to the ports Synology uses assuming you have not changed them.

If you are having your Synology open to the world then i would recommend you open control panel in DSM and go to security and then click on the account tab and click on the enable auto block. this will auto ban anyone trying to enter the Synology with the wrong user-pass and gives you a little protection against hackers.

Forwarding works fine yet, I have a problem with router. Tried to did factory reset 2x, did 30/30/30, nothing happened to me.

It works fine but once a day I get ping about 900ms and everything is very slow. admin interface loads very long.. After restart router it's ok again.
Any help please?

That is for DD-WRT. Use the router's menu to do a factory reset or press the reset button for 5 seconds.

Try using John's fork instead of Merlin's:

Remember to do a factory reset after you load the new firmware and manually reconfigure (don't reload a settings file).

EDIT: Also make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled: Tools > System Information > Network > HW acceleration

HW accesleration is enabled.
But it worked fine before I made factory reset. Used merlin's firmware too. And of course I didn't restore any settings after factory reset. Now it's very slow again (after about 1 hour of using)
