Some issues with PPTP/L2TP Client UI

First, I am unable to enter the L2TP Key when setting up the L2TP VPN server to connect to. The parameters are the same for PPTP and L2TP.

Secondly, After connecting to a PPTP VPN server, the connection status shows 'X'. Going to the VPN Status tab shows the client is connected. Returning to the PPTP/L2TP shows the PPTP client is connected to the PPTP VPN server ('V').

I've been wondering the same thing about L2TP all this time. I'm actually able to connect to VPN providers via the L2TP client in merlin fw WITHOUT putting in the PSK (shared secret) anywhere. It makes me wonder if I'm really connecting with an L2TP/IPsec connection or not.

Anybody know?
