sorry for the stupid question

but before I drop a few hundred on a router i ned to understand something , Merlin now supports the GT AX 1100 , does this mean i buy the ROG GT AX 1100 and Merlin will work without all the useless to me ROG features ? i need a new router but will not buy one that cannot run Merlin .

My GT-2900 works great with Merlin, and the ROG stuff has been disabled. I assume the same would be true for the 11000.

I'm getting a new Asus GT-AX-11000

I have used and loved Merlin in the past on previous routers. Anyone here with this router and Merlin? Have you tested both Asus and Merlin? Thoughts? Thx!

thanks good to knoew I can upgrade to the ax1100 and not use the ROG STUFF will never buy a router with no Merlin support . hope to have it soon
