Speed Issues + Connection Issues after firmware update

New Around Here
I have a AC68U connected as a primary router. I have 2 AC56Us and an AC66U connected as wired access points around my house. I recently upgraded my internet speed to 150MB/s service. When I ran speedtests next to the router / different access points, I am getting very different results. The primary router and one of the 56U access points are running at about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the speed of the other two access points (AC56U and AC66U) which were achieving 170MB/s speeds. Any thoughts as to what the issue may be. [btw, I am testing just using an iphone 6].

To add to the complication, I upgraded the firmware on all of these units to merlin 380.58 - and now my phone generally will not connect to the access points and in some cases the router itself. It sees the primary router and access points, but it cycles through them and generally will not connect.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

Do you have a single ssid or a unique ssid for each router and AP?

Do you have the units on separate channels (appropriately) with the two that are on the same channel the ones that are the furthest (physically) apart?

380.58 was a problematic firmware version. Update to the 380.59 Beta 2 and test again.

And I would recommend anything other than a handheld device (like an iPhone or ipad) to do your testing with (preferably when on AC power).

I generally have the same SSID operating through the house. I was able to adjust certain settings and generally get the system working again (I disabled a few items, airtime fairness and beamforming items under professional and that seemed to resolve conflicts/speed issues). I do still have one conflict issue.....

The two AC56U routers that are set up as access points (and reasonably close to each other) seem to be in conflict. If both are on, my phone generally will not connect to those APs. I presume I have a setting between those two that is creating a conflict. Maybe the channel they are using?? Any thoughts?

Relative to having a single SSID throughout the house, is there any setting that promotes a device (e.g., one being moved around the house by a kid) dropping a weaker signal and going to a stronger signal?

Thx!
