SSH in to Increase Tx Power?

I am looking to slightly increase my Tx power from the default 80Mw to 100-120Mw - Just enough to get me better reception outside (Rx device has amplified antenna so just need the RT-N66u to power up a bit)

Is there any way to SSH in to do so? I know Merlin's doesn't allow over 100%, and that there is an older Fork's version that can, but I'd like to stay current on Merlin's built (great VPN support) but need a few more Mw's.... Any thoughts?

Seems fantastically unlikely that the incremental change you are suggesting will noticeably improve anything.

And if the problem isn't worth spending $30 dollars on for an Edimax BR-6208AC (range extender etc) then it is not a very important problem.

An underlying issue that is not fun to discuss, is that the more mention is made of getting around firmware limitations on transmit power, the more steps hardware makers will take to make routers less upgrade-able.

As a 'repeater'? 50% or more for all the devices on your network when any device is accessing the repeater.
