Suggestion for buying a home router

Huawei's products not so trusted here in North America.

I've dealt with Huawei on many levels - oddly enough, while folks don't trust them on a security basis, most don't work with them directly.

Hauwei gets a huge amount of attention on the political layer of things - mainly due to the founders association with the Chicom Govt/PLA - at the same time, there's been many eyes on those platforms, and Huawei knows up front if anything is found, it would basically be the end of the business in the G20 community where the money is at.

Oddly enough - Ericsson/Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Oracle - competitors in that space, they've not had the political pressure that Huawei and ZTE have had - is this perhaps them declining to work with NSA/GHCQ and other three letter agencies?
