New Around Here
Hi all,
first time here so a greet is a must!

I'm looking for your advice to build a simple network consisting of a Asus RT-N56U Gigabit Router Wireless and a Asus RP-N53 wireless extender. The router will be connected to the modem and the extender to the router.

The thing that bothers me atm is that i can't find anywhere if is possible to connect the RP-N53, via ethernet cable, to a 8-port switch. The switch will be connected to the tv, bluray and netmedia player.

Can anyone give me any evidence that the switch will correctly assign the IPs to the other devices?

Many thanks!

Sorry for the bump but I want to know the exact same thing.

Can it be used to connect to a switch and let the switch connect to several IP-cameras? I'm not interested in getting better WiFi coverage, I just need to get acces to my network that is in my house from my garage that is a couple of meters from the house. Or is the ethernet port only for connecting it to the existing network and using it as an AP?

Not well documented at all.
