Synology DS211 and POE

New Around Here
Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of getting my first NAS in this case the Synology DS211 which I have read nothing but great reviews on it. I will be using it as a file storage, stream music, photo and video to my ps3 and xbox360. I also have a Mac which I would want to use time machine. My questions are the following and would appreciate you guys advice.

1) What HD 1TB or 2TB brand/combination should I use?

2) I don't have ethernet cables running through my house so i was thinking of using Power over ethernet adapters. Is that a good option for what I want from my NAS or am I slowing down the file streaming because of my choice of LAN method? Also if its doable which POE is best for the job?

Sorry If some of this doesn't make any sense

In addition to IP over power lines, consider too if MoCA will do. I chose that to reduce risk of noisy power lines and "signal suckers" such as two-phased wiring in US homes, surge suppressor power strips, most new consumer electronics with glitch filters on the AC input, etc.
