Does anyone know if Synology is planning to release a WiFi 6e or 7 router this year? I recently upgraded to fiber internet and need to replace my old Netgear router. I have a Synology NAS and like the options/features that appear to be available in SRM and it seems to have a similar interface to DSM. I've researched the RT6600ax and it seems to have generally positive reviews from people like Dong Ngo, but I'd prefer to get a 6e or 7 router so as to not need to upgrade again as soon.

Along with the RT6600ax the other that I have been considering is the Asus RT-AX88U Pro, but it is also not 6e or 7. I have been following the Asus RT-BE88U and it looks like it was just added to Amazon (want to use points to buy) although it is listed as out of stock. I may just pay the extra hundred or so and get the BE88U when available, but would like to know if anyone has info on a new Synology router that may be coming soon. Thanks.

Probably too early to buy right now as Wi-Fi 7 is beta for both hardware and software. If you buy it now, I doubt it will be for long term. Wi-Fi 7 is a product for play now not long-term investment.
