New version of Trendnet’s venerable TEG-S750 5 port 10Gb switch is coming soon. Max power and MTBF have both gone up, and RAM buffer is now 12 MB. Looks like a more powerful chipset in the new version. Hoping for better 10G performance and less overhead.

Almost bought the v1 version, but will hold out for the newer version.

That’s not actually true. You can usually get 10Gb over Cat5e up to 50m, and up to 70m depending on cable quality.

Edit: That Amazon link is to the older v1.0R version. New revision isn’t out yet.
