i might have to install tempmon and give it a go :D

(and then fight the urge to log to sqlite for charts... :D)

No problem at all, its a learning experience for me, I wouldn't have made it public if I wasn't willing to help out with user issues

Fingers crossed!

Well, almost 7 hours later, it's still spitting out temperatures to syslog so it's seams I was faulty instead of your script.

Code:
Mar 17 06:45:05 RT-AC86U tempmon[16569]: CPUnow: 60.6C CPUavg: 60.5C CPUhigh: 63.0C CPUlow: 60.1C Uptime CPUhigh: 63.0C Uptime CPUlow: 51.7C
Mar 17 06:45:05 RT-AC86U tempmon[16569]: LogPeriod: 15m PollFreq: 5s Rec: 179/180 Current Monitor PID: 2207

Sorry again and hats of to you for your willingness to adapt the script on such short notice. I'll reboot first next time before I start whining.

Have a great day.

Best regards,
Marco

As for @Jack Yaz : don't hold back if you feel that urge coming up :D ;)

Maybe enhance scMerlin since you are presently printing router temps?
More pretty graphs ;-)
