Trendnet Gear
I got it for $25.99 with free shipping After Christmas. It was back ordered so I didn't get it until after new year. I had ordered prior Trendnet TEW-641PC 32-bit Wireless N PCMICA Cards 300mbpsRX (150mbpsTX) 2-ANT inside, 14dBM for output power for N and Receiving -65dBm at 135mbps on N, which were only $19.99 with free shipping from Black Friday, Christmas and New Year Day so I have about 3x of them in use today.
Mine is show here using the Trendnet TEW-652BRP firmware where the status light is active.

specs
output power: 13dBm for N
Recieving 62dBm @ 300mbps
2x 2dbi detachable dipole antennas SMA
I got TEW-652BRP to use as Wireless N Access Point. It can be mounted on the wall does have holes for screws, it doesn't come with the screws. Using the default firmware is basic there is no way to set the Gateway it seems to pick it up. The DIR-655 never did show it in the DHCP Reserve Client Table under Trendent firmware.
The folks over DD-WRT have a modified version of DIR-615 C1 hardware 3.01 firmware, that is for TEW-652BRP. I downloaded that connected the 652BRP to a laptop using Xircon 10/100 56K modem card (not made anymore) Intel took over the company. Anyway firmware update had failed on first attempt. Second attempt was Successful.
Now with the DIR-615 firmware, this is what's happening the Router now shows up as DIR-615. The web gui admin works just like the DIR-615 C1 3.01. The only issue I can see is the clock is not showing the correct time. No matter what I do it's off by 1 hour and the date is only showing the time and date the firmware was created.
Other than that, really hasn't been anything else. Works great in AP mode. It does show which wireless clients are connect, by mac address, speed and %. On the wireless laptops that have the link speed showing as 150mbps with excellent on Windows XP Pro SP3 on the router the speed is 130M 40-45%.
After I've applied my normal latest 2009 network tweaks which can be found here:

Throughput between the LAN is very good and downloading off the internet is very good. Now using Acronis True Image Backup on 4.29GB C: partition image, I had transfer that file over the Wireless N using 652BRP it only had taken 15-16 minutes from Windows XP Pro SP3 using Trendnet TEW-641PC wireless PCMICA card.
