New Around Here
Because aesthetics will be an issue, I'm considering between these two for a lakehouse (single floor ranch, maybe 1500 sq ft., streaming TV will be wired ethernet to the router, mid to low single digits of wireless clients, phones usually). I've searched and other than a successful recommendation for the AXE5400, there doesn't seem to be much else out there.

Is this because there is another manufacturers mesh that is better or is it just because traditional format routers are better and thus preferred here?

Thanks in advance for any info on these two, or competing manufacturers product, provided!

Both of those seem to be massive overkill for your situation ... do you have 1Gbps-or-better internet service at this lake house?

Any wireless router even older AC-class will do all of the above no problem. Archer AX55 for about 80$ will perhaps die of boredom.
