Netgear RAX43 -100EU

Firmware Version V1.0.16.132_2.0.92

The router manual states that Transmit Power Control setting on the Netgear Nighthawk RAX43 can be found as follows:

    • Once logged in, you’ll see the BASIC Home page or Dashboard.
    • Select the Wireless option.
  1. Locate Transmit Power Settings:
    • Look for options related to wireless settings, advanced settings, or radio settings or look for the transmit power control under a different name, such as:
      • Power Level
      • Output Power
      • Transmit Power
      • Radio Power
I've spent countless hours trying to find the setting, to no avail!

Can someone please tell me if the setting still exists or has NETGEAR hidden it? If so, why?

Why can't they just make settings available and allow the consumer, who has paid money for the router, make their own adjustments and decisions?

Failing that, open firmware up for customization & tweaking!

Making it great again!

As it was explained to you on NETGEAR's forum, you cannot control or alter the transmit power. It is locked due to regulations, especially for US models.

Your EU router will follow EU regulations. On 2.4GHz up to 100mW, lower 5GHz non-DFS up to 200mW, mid 5GHz DFS up to 1000mW.

Your router's maximum Tx power per channel is perhaps lower than allowed limits.

On Asus routers go to Wireless, Performance tab, the slider at the very bottom of the page.

Noted, thanks. But I'm sure I don't have a US model even though the model number has 100EUS appended to the name. I know it was supplied by a UK retailer and the power supply is 220V and not 120V.
Also, the wireless Region Selections are Europe, Australia & New Zealand, India, Singapore, Hong Kong.
No mention of USA!
Please read my follow up response and why I want to be able to adjust the transmit power.
Surely there is no harm in trying all avenues to get optimum performance and strive for perfection?

Set the router to your region. If your region is not available in settings - your router is incorrect model for the region.

This is all I can suggest with the extremely limited information you provide missing even the basics - your country/region.

I'm in South Africa. I presume the region is Africa. Even my previous router the R7000 worked seamlessly having region set as Europe
