I recently set up a new GT-AX6000 as a base router and converted one of my AX92U units from router to node. Previously I had run with an AX92U as router and two AX92U nodes. The two nodes (that had been nodes before) and the main GT-AX6000 seems to work and give me high speeds (over 800 Mbps up and down on fiber) when connected to wired or wireless devices (iPhone 14 pro, MacBook Air 2022). But on the device that was converted from router to node, the wireless speeds do not exceed 150 Mbps, while the wired speeds are over 800 Mbps. I tested with multiple devices and this is very repeatable.

All nodes are wired to the main router. The new node is wired with 2.5 gig MOCA adaptor, while the other use Cat 5e. I dont think the MOCA is the problem, however, because devices reach proper speed when connected to wired port on the 92U. Connections are slower if I disconnect the router entirely, so I doubt it's an issue of two routers too close together. To my knowledge, wireless settings are the same on all three 92U nodes (I dont know how I might change that). Any ideas what might be going on or things I should check? Happy to provide more detail.

Adding some screenshots of setting, which are pretty much the same for all three nodes.

One more note. I changed the unit causing slowness issues to AP mode (from Mesh node). Used same SSID as the rest of the house. Issue remained on downloads only (so I had slow downloads but fast uploads using speedtest, in the magnitude of 150/700). Then I changed the SSID of the 5gHz-2 band to something unique. Wifi with the directed 5gHz-2 was at full speed, but WiFi using the 5gHz-1 (on same SSID as rest of house) was slow.

Update: download speed is better significantly, but still slower than uploads at that router /AP)

I have no idea what the problem is - I am guessing interference on the 5gHz-1 band affects downloads (but I have no idea why uploads are fast). This behavior was repeated several time on different devices so I doubt its artifact.

I realize I am responding to my own posts, but I just changed modulation scheme (on the wireless/professional tab of the GT-AX6000) to MCS 11 nitroQAM 1024QAM. That seems to have sped up the WiFi 6 to proper speeds.

Today many of my users experienced slower wifi speeds and drops on their video calls. I changed the setting of OFDMA/802.11ax MU-MIMO to DL/UL OFDMA+MU-MIMO. And set MIMO to disable. That restored speeds on Wifi 6 clients. I have no idea what I actually did, but none of my WiFI 6 devices were getting speed over 120 before this change. Any ideas what is happening?

Also some weird log entries this AM:
