I have a Qnap NAS connected to a 4G-LTE router, and am unable to connect from the internet to the NAS because my ISP uses CGNAT.
After reading on the net, I've come up with this idea:
Setting up a Raspberry Pi 3 as a vpn-server at a friend's house, who has a direct connection via fibre to the internet.
Setting up my Qnap to tunnel to the Raspberry, thus enabling access to my Qnap from out on the internet.
Would one of my learned friends out there please explain to me whether this is feasible, and guide me through it step by step?
If it's not possible, could you please find an alternative, not involving paying for cloud storage?
I'm living way out in the countryside, and the only internet access here is via the 4G/LTE mobile network.
I badly need to access pictures and documents when away from home, and there's so many that I can't just drag a HDD around with me...
Thank you very much in advance, & all the best for 2020
Love Mitch
