New Around Here
Hello,

I would like to get both PS4 systems online with open nat type so we can play black ops 3.
Currently they are both wired to a linksys E3200 (bridge mode) and the linksys is connected to AC68U with Merlin firmware version 378.56_2.

My AC68U setting:
1- Reserved DHCP IP for each PS4 using the mac address
2- UPNP: Enabled
3- NAT Acceleration: Disabled

with current setting, the first PS4 connects gets open nat type and then second one will always be moderate.
what I want is to have them both open at the same time. While both are online this what I have observed in the UPNP/Port forward logs.

In this case the PS4 with IP ending with 176 gets open nat type and the other one ending with 116 get moderate nat type.

Any help with this is highly appreciated thanks.

1. This doesn't have anything to do with merlin's firmware at all so you're better off asking somewhere else.
2. From 30 seconds of googling it looks like your game wants to see port 3074 open inbound toward itself (forwarded to it) so it or it will say you're "moderate" instead of open. If it used a range of ports instead of a single one you have options.
3. You can't forward a single port to two devices with NAT.

Your best option is to see if your ISP will offer you two real IP's.

This ended up being the only reliable solution I was able to find. I tried about everything I could find online about how to achieve an open nat type on two xbox one consoles on the same network at the same time.

The solution may not be popular because it ends up costing money but I had my ISP assign me two static IP addresses. I then added a second Asus wireless router. One console is behind a RT-AC68U with a static IP and the other consul is behind a RT-AC87U with a second static IP.

Again, others may offer cheaper solutions but I think I tried them all and this was the only way I was able to achieve open nat type in the same house every time. (every time meaning I would get both consuls open and think woo hooo... Then for some reason an hour later one of them would go moderate or strict and I would start over)
