Now that Ofcom in the uk has opened up U-NII-3 5.725 to 5.850 GHz. unlicensed from the 7th august 2017 are asus going to add support to my RT-AC88U?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll make it a priority to manufacture a model just for the UK market.
 
its not rocket science its called uk firmware

It's more complicated than that with Broadcom's recent platforms.

Probably not with your current hardware - as it's been tested/accepted by the various regulatory agencies... testing can be quite expensive, so it's really down to asus putting in the time/effort/expense - sometimes it's a letter for a permissive change, sometimes it's much more work...
