Thanks for passing that along. I'm a fan of Ubicom's StreamEngine QoS. Perhaps we'll see it integrated into Atheros and QC Snapdragon CPUs.

I'm a big fan of Ubicom myself, and very disappointed to say the least.

I truly hope they will intergrate, and move forward with it, but the way they
handled it (quietly) leads me to believe otherwise. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
 
I too was a fan of Ubicom products. The DGL-4300 was one of the best routers I have ever owned. I really do hope that Qualcomm/Atheros products benefits from this procurement.
 
I always found them interesting, but they were a burden to integrate into a design, mainly because every IO block had to be bit-banged, so changes on the board were a tremendous amount of work.

Their QoS flow management was very good, and implemented mostly in SW, so it's likely that we'll see this at some point on Atheros based designs. In any case, Qualcomm has inherited a very talented SW team, and I wish the Ubicom folks the very best.
