Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite vs PRO

Hi,

We are a small non-profit based out of India. We have around 50 employees working in an office using wireless internet. We have a 100Mbps internet connection that is shared. We used to use the Asus RT N66U wireless router along with an additional access point to serve these users. But off late the router has not been able to handle all the load and frequently has to be reset.

We are planning to get the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter with 2 Unifi AC LR access points. We don't know whether to go with the EdgeRouter Lite or PRO. Can someone suggest a model based on our 50 users and 100Mbps internet connection requirement.

Also can the APs be directly connected to the router or do we need to get an additional Ubiquiti switch as well? We don't have any wired users, everyone is connected via wireless.

Second there exists two models that can do exactly what you requested:
ER-X-SFP
ERPOE-5

Differences:
ER-X-SFP
Has a faster CPU for QOS processing
Has an SFP port
Has 5x Switch chip ports
Supports only 24v POE

ERPOE-5
Has an offload engine for Wirespeed routing
Has 3 direct paths to the CPU for inter-network routing
Has a console port for OOB configuration
Supports both 24v and 48v POE

Bit of a cheeky one, ain't ya?
Ubiquiti is quite a bit more like Cisco than Asus in that the forums have active design discussions going on with the developers. Why you would choose to ignore this resource when you are going end to end with a single company's products seems a bit odd to me.
It's not like it was a question of;
Should I use a Linksys router with Ubiquiti access points on mikrotik switch vs other components . . .
