New Around Here
Hi, hope someone can help. I have a strange issue on my Wi-Fi network that my system is broadcasting 3 guest Wi-Fi SSIDs

ASUS_Guest1
ASUS_Guest2
ASUS_Guest3

The strange thing is Guest Wi-Fi is disabled, so cannot understand why these are transmitting. I did wonder if they were someone else’s, but when I switch off my Router and mesh units, the SSID are gone.

I have the following Mesh Setup :-
  • Main Router - AX11000
  • Mesh 1 - Zenwifi XT8
  • Mesh 2 - Zenwifi XT8

They have a wired 2.5gbe backbone.

I use 3 separate Wi-Fi SSID (2.4ghz, 5ghz, 5ghz)

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

The main Router (GT-AX11000) is running 3.0.0.4.386_46065, the two nodes (XT8) are running 9.0.0.4.386_48966. Reason for the beta version is the last firmware, broke my Wi-Fi as it wouldn't allow long passwords. But even on the older firmware I saw this issue.

Bought new in stages from (Router then nodes). Never done a factory reset on the main router, but have done the nodes a several times. When I reset them, the guest Wi-Fi disappears, but then reappears after a short while of re syncing with the main router. I did a reset of the nodes just over a week ago.
