unbound vs VPN DNS

Hi,

Which one is better as Performance and Security?;

1) Using VPN connections DNS Server by setting DNS Exclusive at VPN clients settings page (Accept DNS Configuration).
2) Using installed unbound_manager by setting DNS Relaxed/Disabled at VPN clients setting page.

Also little explanation would be nice

It seems if i choose option 2, would be definitely clearly dns leak .
I see my vpn ip as normal and dns adress is my home ip adress
Even i choose vpn instance as outgoing interface by unbound's menu, i do still see my dns is my isp/home ip adress.

So is there a way to hide unbound behind the vpn? outgoing interface is vpn but still vpn leak check shows my home ip.

The debug instructions here for 'vpn' bind should assist in proving if the VPN bind is in effect.

vpn debug show has an empty output, a green bar.

outgoing-interface: 10.8.2.3 (the vpn instance ip) from conf file.
