I decided to log into my router admin page to see if there were any updates. I then checked my clients and noticed that there was an ip / MAC address that I did not recognize. The client name after searching online with a MAC address name finder, belongs to a manufacturer named AzureWave Technology Inc. It’s on my 2.4 channel and is barely receiving a signal.

I can’t seem to figure out what device this belongs to. Should I be concerned? Any ideas or recommendations would be appreciated.

Cheers!

If you've got WPA2 enabled, and no guest network, nothing to worry about. It's just a client (usually Windows based) looking for an access point.

My guess is that you have an Asus router - we get this question many times over...
