works swell. I don't know what fixed it but here is everything I did
-updated firmware
-renamed my 5g network (it was the same as 2.4 but maybe a fresh rename is good for anyone)
-Advanced Settings>Wireless :
Set band to 5g
>Professional>
Set band to 5g (one of these may have already been at 5g)
Turned off both the beamforming options
Apply
Rebooted Router and Reset iphone Network Settings at the same time
Connected to 5g Network on my iphone
no drops
------------------------------------------------
What may have been the problem is having connected to both 2.4g and 5g on my iphone 6+ ?
I will only have it remember the password for 5g and never connect to 2.4g.
Maybe apple juggles the connections and drops people
