Upgrade suggestions from an RT-AC86U running merlin

You don' need a router there. A 5 or 8 port switch will do fine. Maybe locate an Access Point there off of the switch if you have wireless needs not already met.
You only need 1 router. It doesn't have to have wireless.
 
I want to replace my AX86U Pro because the WAN port on it is broke so I have to use the 2.5G one for WAN which I wanted to have hooked directly into my 100tb Unraid server.

I don't really care that much about wifi as I only use it for iot stuff or phones. everything else is always cabled up, so I want something with lots of nice ports. and power behind it.

Wan port broken😬 hope you don't mind me asking is this a common fault
