I have a HP printer connected with USB to a RT-AC86U. The printer needs to be initialized with firmware, which I used to be able to do with Merlin 384.xx via:

cat /jffs/hp1018_firmware.dl > /dev/usb/lp0

After this, printing works just fine. However, with 386.1, while the script runs, the firmware is not passed to the printer, and so printing cannot be completed. /dev/usb/lp0 exists.

I wonder if anything changed? Suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
