Using N66U as WAP. Any benefit in upgrading from .40 to .43?

I'm using the N66U simply as a switch and AP, not a a router or using any advanced features. I care only about wireless performance on both bands. My .40 seems fine, but is there anything to gain, as far as wireless or other network performance, by going to .43? Thanks.

Only you can tell for your wireless environment. ;)

As for the switch part; no appreciable difference up or down.

Thanks. I was mainly curious if there were any driver updates in the newer builds that include performance-related fixes/updates.

Ime? Always. They just don't get documented.

The RT-N66U wireless driver has been unchanged for a while now, and will probably be forever on the current version, since it's a special build that brings improvements over the official driver.

There's probably little reason to upgrade the firmware in your current usage scenario.

IME=in my experience.
