New Around Here
Sorry if this has been covered already. I Read a bunch of threads related to my router, and looked at the Asus list of EoL stuff.
Still have questions, tho.
So, I dont know if my RT-AC66U-B1 recently got hacked or what, but even after reinstalling stock, and the last couple of Asus-Wrt firmwares, still having all kinds of weird problems. Usually when this same type of stuff happens to a router for me, and pulling hair for a week or more, i usually just replace/upgrade.
So I know everything 386.xx-based is going unsupported by Asus-Wrt in a couple weeks. I want to stick with Asus-Wrt if possible. (Its my number 1 consideration in a "new" router.)
I've seen the list of supported routers, and gone thru the Github wiki for Asus-Wrt. Was hoping to find a list of all supported routers, *WITH* note of which FW they use...??
I dont care if I have to buy an older model (must still be "new", not used), but looking for something that has a high-likely hood of still being Asus-Wrt supported for awhile.
I dont need new features that come with the 20 or so Asus routers I've quickly looked at, as 90% of my devices are 4 to 12 *years* old. (Some arent even 5Ghz )
Just looking for way to quickly slog thru the plethora of Asus routers, for one that is, and will be still supported by Asus-WRT for at least the next 2-4yrs.
Help!??
